It was another great month for online income. I made over $1000 for the second month in a row. There is a good chance I will make over $1000 this month as well. It just depends on whether one of my affiliate companies pays me on time. I’m reporting the money I actually received rather than the money I earned. Since I generally don’t receive money until the month after I earn it my online income reports are more reflective of my earnings for the prior month.
Here are my income sources for August.
Google Adsense – $265.99
Text Links – $43.12
Affiliate Sales – $91
Direct Ad Sales – $727.97
I’m not sure how long I can continue selling the ads without killing my page rank but I’m probably going to find out. I’ve already made almost as much in direct ad sales this month as last month. My Google Adsense revenue will be way up this month because I had an article featured on Yahoo Finance that brought a lot of very clicky traffic to one of my other sites. I’m trying to build up my affiliate income so my revenue streams will be more diversified. I have made some progress but I am still in the process of trying to improve it further. My goal of making a full-time living from my web sites no longer seems too far-fetched.

Great job, Andy! If I could make about 5x that, I could probably retire, too 😉 I would probably still work though at least until I paid off the mortgage!
re: my previous comment
Retiring mean retiring from the day job only, of course! 😛
I know what you mean. If I were able to make my living from my sites I would feel like I was retired or at least semi-retired.
I don’t want to burst your bubble, but if those $727 in private ad sales is for ads that are running over 12 months, then you are really earnings less than $70/month from them. Unless you sell 700 worth of private ads per month, for 12 months in a row, I won’t consider your monthly income to be 700.
I count my income as I receive it. That does cause some irregularities when I receive 12 months payment at once but I think this is the best way to do it.
Most of the money I received was for 12 months but there was also a 6 month and several monthly payments in there as well. And I still have a PR3 site and a PR4 site that I haven’t sold any links on.
Great job! This is very impressive. I hope to be able to do this without sacrificing content! Well done.
That’s a nice chunk of money there. Great job! But watch your page rank with those text links; especially if they don’t have a rel=”nofollow”
After looking at what other members of the Yakezie were charging I have almost doubled my rates. That is likely to cause a reduction in links sold but it hasn’t stopped me from making one big sale this month.
Most of the people buying links don’t want the nofollow or I would use it. I do have some of the links so they display on the home page only which should preserve a little of my link juice and I think makes the links appear more natural.
