October was an incredible month for income. My online income was a record high. I’d never made more than $3000 in a month before and I went way past that. I’ve already made about $2000 this month making a goal of $4000 not unreasonable. I would like to diversify my income more. I am making a little passive income from dividends and investments and I added some alternative income from bank bonuses but they don’t add up to much compared to my online income.
I’m going to concentrate on my online income right now since it is doing so well. I could always ramp up my income from selling stuff and some other alternative sources of income if I needed to but right now the best return on my time is working on my online income.
This report does not include income from my wife and I’s business. Our mystery shopping business income will actually increase quite a bit this month and we have a couple more clients we will likely add before the end of the year. This business eats up most of the time I don’t spend on the online business since it requires quite a bit of travel. It isn’t making as much as my online income yet but I think it is more sustainable so we are putting a lot of time and effort into it. Just wondering how you are doing with your contextual related posts? Has this contributed much to your significant increase this month? Have you found it to be worthwhile?
It is a free plugin and I hope it keeps my readers around a little longer but I doubt it contributes much to my income.
This is very impressive, with your level of online income. Probably puts you in a top percentage of bloggers, from an online income point of view. I have yet to reach that threshold, but would like to progress toward that!

I actually have five sites that made me money last month. This site probably made about a third of my total online income.

Thanks Andy! We try hard, but for the first 2 years we cranked out content with little interaction. I think our model now is better – we’re coming down from relying on Google/Bing/Yahoo for 90% of our traffic.

It is pretty great. I think it will actually go down this month since last month was a record month. It will still be a good amount though.
Nice income! Last month was kind of a low month for me, surprisingly, but it looks like November may be better.
Hope your November is better. It is hard to figure out sometimes why one month is better than another.
