Updated!! H&R Block Online Tax Software Giveaway

****Contest is now over. The winners have  been chosen and notified.

In exchange for publishing the previous post H&R Block is providing me with free copies of the Federal Premium version of their online tax software.  I’m going to be giving away two copies here as well as giving away copies on my other sites.  I’ll provide links to the other giveaways later.  This software should allow you to do your federal taxes for free but if you use it for your state taxes as well you will have to pay a fee for that.

This contest will be a little different than the others I’ve had.  Now that I’m starting to make some decent money online I am forming an LLC and opening a business account for my online businesses.  I could just use my name for the business but I’d like something a bit more creative than that.  I’ll be giving away one copy of the tax software to whomever comes up with the best name for my business.  Creating a name out of the blog name or my name is my preference but if you come up with a good name that doesn’t use either of those I’ll still consider it.  In addition to the copy I give away to whomever comes up with the best name I’ll also give away a copy at random.  Just leave a comment on this post to enter. The winners will be chosen this Monday, February 7,2011.

Marathon Pictures

marathon startMarathon finish

Here are a couple of pictures from the marathon I recently ran. The first picture is at the start when it was cold hence the ear band, gloves, and sleeves down. At the finish I was rather hot and had removed the ear band and gloves and pushed up my sleeves. That was about all I could do to acclimate to the weather. When you run as slow as me there can be pretty big changes in the weather from the start to the finish. Running a marathon isn’t as hard as most people believe but it ain’t easy either. It is more of a mental challenge than a physical one.

Marathon Musings and Super Sales

Can a 50 pounds overweight, 43 year old guy run a marathon with just two months of  lackluster training? Yes.  Should he? No!!

I did manage to finish the Bass Pro Marathon last Sunday with a time of 6:06:41 which placed me at 155 of 158 men in the marathon.  Hey, I wasn’t last and anyway my main goal was to finish.  I’ve now completed 5 marathons in 5 different states.   This marathon was tough.  I spent most of the last 10 miles walking rather than running.  The temperature was in the 40s when the race started but it was near 70 and sunny for the last half of the race.  This made it uncomfortably hot for me and I became a little dehydrated.  I also got a little sunburn and chapped lips.  Of course there were sore muscles after the race but they recovered after a couple of days.  This was the first time the muscles in my arms became sore as well.  I guess it was just from holding them up in a running position for most of the race.  I won’t be doing any more marathons until I lose some significant weight and am in much better shape.

I’ll post some marathon photos later.  I’ve managed to jack up the SD card slot in my laptop by accidentally putting the little protector piece of plastic in there sideways.  As soon the USB card reader I ordered arrives I’ll upload some of the marathon photos.

Over the last 4 months, and working in conjunction with a team of specialists, We have created Rebates Money – a Forum for all Hot Deals, Cash Back Stores, Finance, and many more. Expanding My Online Empire

My online income for 2009 was less then in 2008 but my income for this year is already my best ever with a few months to go.  I am not really sure why I am seeing such a nice improvement in income this year but I think it is a combination of putting in more work and luck.  I don’t really know a lot about making money online.  I barely have enough technical knowledge to write a blog but by sticking with it I have started to get some good results.

My online income is still not quite enough to live on but it is getting close.  That is why I have decided to expand my online empire. My current goal is to add one source of online income per month until the end of the year.  I currently have four sites that make money. One of the sites makes very little money but it requires very little work so it is still a good deal.  I also have two sites that aren’t currently making money.  One of the sites hasn’t been monetized yet but I have a special monetization method in mind for it.  The other site I will either sell or completely revamp.

To reach my goal of making a full-time income from my sites I have decided to launch some niche sites.  I already have three blogs and I don’t have time for another one.  A niche site will take quite a bit of time to launch but afterward should not require too much time.  I have been taking a lot of inspiration from the niche site duel at Smart Passive Income.  I already have an idea for my niche site and I will be using information I have learned from reading about the niche site duel to get the site started.

Since lots of people ask me how to make money online and I am usually not sure what to tell them I have decided to share with you the process of launching the niche site.  The first update should be sometime next week.  Thanks to all of you who have helped me make money online.
