What I Want

On my birthday, my mom asked me what I want and I couldn’t think of anything. Since then I’ve been thinking about what I want. The only thing I can think of is a tablet computer. But that isn’t something I want very much and I think if I put off buying a tablet for a couple months I’ll either find a really good deal or decide I don’t even want a tablet. When it comes to material goods there isn’t much I want.

Although I am content, there are a couple things I want. One thing is to lose weight and get in better shape. The other is to write a book. Both of these things are achievable. I will turn these wants into SMART goals and post the details on Friday.

  1. Yeah, we’re not much for material wants either however we have been dying for a tablet. My wife’s computer is breaking down and when it crashes we’ll probably go with a tablet and avoid buying a whole new laptop.

Good luck on the weight loss and book writing!

    • The thing about the tablet is that everything I would do on the tablet I could do on my laptop or phone. The tablet would just be more convenient for some of those things. I’ll probably get one eventually when I find a really good deal.

  2. My family and I are not much for material wants either. Sure, we’d love an iPad, but do we need one…no. We can make do with what we have. There’s nothing wrong with having one, but we’ve learned to be content with what we have and not get worried with what we don’t have. Good luck on the book writing, it’s something both my wife and I have tossed around for a while.

    • I’ve had an idea for a book for two years. Since getting the idea, I have done a lot of research, but haven’t actually done any writing. I need to stop the research and start writing.

  3. My fiance and I have one computer so if both of us need to be on it we go to the library and one of us uses the library computers. Also places like McDonalds, Starbucks and Barnes and Nobles have free internet so we can go there if the library is closed.
