October’s expenses were reasonable. If not for the money sent to my in-laws, our total expenses would have been under $2000.
Entertainment expense was $0. Amazon Prime was free after applying a free gift card to my account. I also have 1 year of Apple TV free from one of my credit cards.
My transportation expense consisted of $191.35 for gas. This included a trip to St. Louis. We won’t be going to St. Louis this month so this expense should come down a bit.
Food expense was $384.01. That is divided between $289.15 for groceries and $94.86 for restaurants. The restaurant total includes $45 spent on a Mcdonald’s gift card that has about half the balance remaining. I also have $50 of gift cards for Walmart. Those should help me get our food expense even lower this month.
Travel expense came in at $0.
Utilities came in at $358. Internet was $40, trash was $30 and electric/water was $310.61. This expense will be much lower this month since we’re no longer using the A/C.
Household expense came in at $133.02. This was for miscellaneous household stuff.
I spent $20 for phone service. That is the new usual monthly amount.
I paid $215.12 on my student loan. I’ve switched to the RAP plan which slightly lowered my payment.
I also contributed $251.99 to my in-laws so they can make some improvements to their house in Thailand.
Health expense came in at $41.98. This was for a combination of prescription and over the counter medications.
This month’s expenses will be a little higher since I have to pay property tax on the house. How was your month?
