I once again didn’t meet my goals in December. Part of the reason is because I was busy at my job and doing mystery shops so I don’t feel too bad about not getting them done. I’m not going to set any goals for January since I will be busy with my job and studying for the bar. I suppose you could call passing the bar a goal but I’m somewhat ambivalent about it.
I’m not setting any goals for 2011 at this time either. A couple of things I would like to accomplish this year are losing weight and writing a book. Until I come up with a specific plan for achieving those though they will remain wishes rather than goals. Another wish is that both my wife and I will make enough self-employment income to support ourselves, pay off debts, and build up our savings. These wishes are achievable and I will make them goals later this year.
It all takes time to get to where your dreams are.
Yes, I just need to feel like I am making progress towards them.
I think passing the bar would be good for your endeavors whether you ever practice law or not.
Good luck!
Thanks, I’m sure it will be good for something.
I don’t make resolutions. Its more like goals for the year. LOL. Maybe that’s the same thing, but I hate how most don’t stick with their resolutions and it seems like my “goals” are ongoing every single year, kwim? LOL.
One thing I’m doing differently this year is how I spend for Christmas. I’m doing a Zero Dollar Christmas. Simply put, I’ll spend $0 of our regular income on Christmas gifts. I’ll use Swagbucks to purchase PayPal funds or Amazon giftcards and use our debit card Points to buy gift cards from major retail stores or restaurants. I’ll also use any survey site cash-outs for gifts and get freebies (like the Rue-La-La free credit) throughout the year. I really think that will take a lot of the Holiday stress out of the whole Holiday season.
That is not a bad idea. I did use some Amazon gift cards I earned from Swag Bucks for part of my Christmas budget. Didn’t manage to get my Christmas down to zero though.
