Challenge Day 9

Another day done. I had a mystery shop today and got $5 in free groceries. I may not have to buy any more groceries this month. I forgot to pay my electric bill last month. The $22.15 is for two months and includes a $0.23 late charge. That is a lot smaller late charge than one of my credit cards would’ve charged. Here is the breakdown for the day.

  • Money Spent=$22.15 for electric, necessary
  • Exercise=20 minute run

Food eaten for the day.

Link Exchange and Feedburner Update

If any bloggers out there would like to exchange links please let me know. I also own the blog BankBonuses so I can give you two links for one if you would like. The only requirement that your blog is at least somewhat frugality/personal finance related.

My Feedburner feed has been updated. It wasn’t working last week but is now fixed. I’ve also changed the button to make it easier for you to sign up through your favorite feed reader.

Challenge Day 6

Went a little off track today. I gave in to a craving and bought a bag of cheese puffs. Not the best thing to buy for my $30 goal. It shouldn’t cause too much of a problem as long as there are no other slips. Here is the breakdown for the day.

  • Money Spent=$1.05
  • Exercise=Lower Body BFL workout

Food eaten for the day:

  • Breakfast-Oatmeal=225 calories
  • Lunch-PB&J=350 calories, banana=100 calories
  • Dinner-Biscuits with Jelly&Butter=650 calories, 4 oz cheese puffs=488 calories

Total calories for the day=1813. My total calories for the day was still pretty low even with the cheese puffs. My total food expense is now $15.39.

Festival of Frugality 60

The Festival of Frugality 60 is up at Frugal For Life. My post “$7.08 a month phone plan” is included. Besides my own post here are some other posts that I liked.

Using Freebies to Stretch Your Dollar:I liked this one not so much for the post but the blog in general.

Save Money While Book Shopping Online: This gave me a new option to save on books. Plus reminded me that I forgot to go through Fatwallet when buying my textbooks off Half.com this semester.

Ultimate 99 cent value meal: I took advantage of a similar deal at El Pollo Loco a couple years ago. Also I miss Taco Bueno now that I no longer live in Texas.
