The $100 Weight Loss Challenge Results

The challenge ended on August 15th and I did not meet my goal by the challenge deadline. I didn’t even come close. I’m basically the same weight as when I started the challenge. It may now have been the best time for a weight loss challenge since I did have some issues going on that led to comfort eating. But based on my past challenge results it may not have made any difference. I don’t think I’ll be doing any more challenges. From now on instead of writing about what I intend to do, I will actually do something and then write about it.

If you were one of the first 20 people to leave a comment on the challenge post, please leave a comment here letting me know whether you’d prefer an Amazon gift card or Paypal cash. You don’t need to put your email in your comment, but do use the email you want to get your gift card or cash out to leave the comment. I’ll try to get all the cards and cash out on Monday. If I don’t hear from you regarding your preference within the next few days then I’ll send you my choice of card or cash.

  1. Hey, I’m willing to go double or nothing. Actually, I’ll forgive the debt if you’ll read two books. Otherwise the Amazon gift card would be nice.

Why We Get Fat: And What To Do About It by Gary Taubes.
The Four Hour Body by Tim Ferriss.

I’d suggest reading them in that order. I am now doing the Ferriss recommended diet. I started on the 8th of this month and have lost 9 lbs. I realize all diets will work, but some will work better for you than others. Good luck and stay the course.

    • I’ve read The Four Hour Body, but haven’t read the other one. I’ll take a look at it. The Slow Carb diet would work for me if I would just stick with it. I’ll send you an Amazon card.

  2. Bummed you didn’t reach your goal. I know how tough it can be. I, too, would be willing to go double or nothin’… but otherwise the Paypal cash would be my choice. 🙂

  3. Sorry to hear you didn’t make any progress. I hppe you still write more about your experiences from 4 Hour Body in the future, though. Good luck. I’d prefer an amazon gift card. Thanks.

  4. I wanted you to make your goal. I think it would have helped you start moving forward after all the issues that you have had to deal with this year. I wish you well. I would prefer an Amazon gift card.

  5. Timing definitely didn’t help here. I like the idea of setting a goal, doing it, then writing about your experience. Sometimes setting public goals motivate you, sometimes it doesn’t. Just don’t give up on the goal even though your timeline has changed.

  6. Sorry it did not work out. Hope it works out. I just verified that I left the 17th comment on the original contest post and I prefer PayPal. Thanks so much and good luck.
