I recently discovered the website Fiverr.com. On this site you can get all sorts of stuff done for five bucks. I already got a new twitter background. For five bucks I think it is a pretty good twitter background. If you saw my old one you know it is a huge improvement. Graphics are not one of my areas of expertise. I have a couple of other jobs pending there and I’ll share the results with you when they are done.
It would be pretty difficult to make money at the site since you are only making $5 at a time. The best model would probably be to try to sell more services/products to your customers after they are satisfied with your $5 job. It seems that most people are doing that or are in a country where $5 isn’t such a small amount of money. I haven’t been able to come up with a good idea of what I could do to make money on the site. If you have any suggestions feel free to share them with me.
Another site which can save you some money is Cheapism.com. This is a consumer review site focused on cheap products. They also have a blog with frugal advice as well as links to frugal resources such as this blog. I haven’t had to buy anything lately but next time I do I will check out the Cheapism review first.
Don’t forget I am having two book giveaways this week. A book giveaway here at Tight Fisted Miser. And another book giveaway at My Retirement Blog.
