Since I’ve been trying to decide how to give away $500 this month it was serendipitous that I came across the “blog with heart challenge.” The basic idea of the challenge is that bloggers form lending teams on Kiva and recruit their readers to make loans on Kiva to count towards their team’s total.
To promote participation in the challenge I will match reader’s loans up to a cumulative total of $500.* I’m hoping we can show that frugal people are still generous. Click through to read more about Kiva and Team Tight Fisted Miser.
*Note to weight-loss challenge winners. You still have the choice or receiving $10 cash or gift card. You need to leave a comment to claim your prize by the end of the month. I will be paying out once a week so don’t worry if you don’t hear anything from me right away. It won’t affect participation in the blog with heart challenge.
