I think that the charity-matching idea is a good one as well. While everyone could probably do with an extra $10, this is the season of giving after all and matching those 35 peoples’ contributions to a charity with your $500 would be fantastic.

Well, I am on your list. First of all shame on you, you didn’t even come close to achieve your objective! Health is much more important than money, and you should “invest” your attention accordingly! This might be the most important decision of your life!

I don’t know about the others, but I’m not from the USA, so I don’t know how easily it is to transfer money to other countries. I personally prefer the idea of one big winner and the others with a small prize.

Andy, you may not think that $10 would make a difference to each of the people on your list — but I’d welcome an extra $10 any day!

That would leave the extra for a slightly higher prize for one person. This sounds like the best suggestion yet to me.

Why not go to your favorite charity and offer to match the first $500 they can raise with new donors. It forces them to think about fundraising in a new way.

Even better is to say, “Up to $500 I will match every contribution – up to $10 – that you receive before New Year’s Eve.” To survive, non-profit groups all need to cultivate small donors.

I’m not on your list, so I’m not biased because I’ll be receiving the money.

You should make it $10/person and then have a big winner. And as Cindy said, Amazon is one place where it is easy to buy and distribute gift cards electronically, so that’s a really good option for you. You would just have it emailed to whoever had entered.

34 people would have a day just a little bit brighter with an extra $10. And one person’s day would be really great.

I think I’m on your list, so…
I’d prefer the cash or gift card giveaways. (Especially if the gift cards are from something easily usable, like Amazon.) No one in my family collects comic books, including myself, so I’d prefer not to have vintage comic books as part of the giveaway.

I like any of the second set of ideas – 12 days of Christmas, one $500 winner, or one larger winner (~$100-330) and 34 smaller winners.
