October 2009 Goal Review

by Andy Hough on November 1, 2009

It is time once again to review how I am doing on my goals.

My first goal is to increase my passive income. I added $500 to my stock portfolio and I wrote an eHow article in October. That isn’t much but it is progress towards my goal. I don’t feel like I am liquid enough to invest more money in stocks right now so I will need to write more eHow articles or pursue other passive income opportunities this month.

My second goal is to lose weight. I made minimal progress on this goal. My weight went from 210.8 to 210 even. I needed to lose more than that to make getting to my goal weight of 180 by the end of the year attainable. I now need to lose 15 pounds in November and December. That isn’t impossible but it is highly unlikely. I’m going to try to do it but it looks like I will be paying on the $500 weight loss challenge.

My third goal is to increase the number of RSS subscribers to 500. I made a little progress on this goal as well reaching a high of 468 subscribers at one point this month. I still think I have a reasonable shot at reaching 500 subscribers by the end of the year.

This is the first month in a while that I made progress on all three of my goals. Even though I only made minimal progress on two of my three goals I am counting this as a win and hope to use this slight progress to create momentum going in to this month.
