One of the concepts I learned about when reading The 4-Hour Work Week is Parkinson’s Law. The brief definition of this law is that work will so as to fill the time available for its completion. This has definitely been the case with my R&W. I’ve spent a lot of time doing research and taking notes that probably would have been better spent on actually writing the paper.
While reading about Parkinson’s Law I came across an article on Student Syndrome. This refers to how many people will start to fully apply themselves to a task just at the last possible moment before a deadline. This fits my behavior in regard to completing my R&W. I hope I haven’t waited too long.
If you’re considering opening an FNBO Direct account I would appreciate it if you would do so in the next couple days. My affiliate partnership with them ends at the end of the month. This has been a good partnership because I consider it a win-win for me and my readers. Unfortunately, the partnership is ending because FNBO is cutting back on their affiliate program like many other financial companies.
Also I am selling off a few things on eBay in an attempt to lessen my stuff and increase my funds for hiking. Check out my auctions here or by clicking on the eBay widget in the sidebar.
Thanks.
