Ask Tight Fisted Miser

I’d like to start a weekly feature where I answer any questions my readers might have. You can ask me anything to do with frugality or personal finance. If you want to ask about my upcoming hike or anything else I’ve posted on you can ask that too. Heck, you can ask me anything you want. I won’t guarantee that I’ll answer anything though.

I’m having a hard time coming up with stuff to post about. Most frugality topics seem either too obvious or they have already been written about many times or both. If you have any topic you would like to post about let me know.

Just leave a comment on this post with your question or topic and I’ll do my best to follow up. Thanks.

  1. You seem so happy in your relationship with your GF. I’ve followed you for a long time and you seem more upbeat in your writing. How did you meet? Is it a frugal tale? And it’s total fine if you don’t want to dish on your relationship.
And the hyper-overplanning A personality in me wants to know if you have a well thought out plan for your hike or are you going to wing it? And have you come up with a list of stuff you are bringing with you. I’ve never been hiking so this is all new to me.
    All the best!!!

  2. Hi Andy – I would like to know what prompted the big hike and what do you plan to do after the hike as I see that you are not keen on working in the law? Also how does your GF feel about you going on the hike and being apart etc?

  3. Hi Andy,

I also like when you write about your GF and would like to know how you met.
You could also tell us on a daily basis what it is you do with yourself since you spend so little money. Do you watch a lot of TV–if so, what? Do you read a lot? Do you play sports or run? Do you do coupons or does your GF? What does your family think of your frugal lifestyle? Did you inherit that inclination from them?
I’m glad you asked this question, by the way. I enjoy reading your blog and would love for you to put more of your personal story into it. For you to open up a little more, I guess.
