December Investment Income- $42.85

by Andy Hough on January 10, 2009

My December investment income was up to $42.85 from $39.17 the month before.  My investment income actually went down the month before despite adding more money to my savings.  The value of my investments rebounded in December and my income is back on an upward trend even though I added very little to my savings in December.  This month I’ll be adding quite a bit to my investments and I should have a nice increase in my investment income unless the market totally tanks.  I’m still a long way from my goal of my investment income being enough to cover my expenses but I’m making progress.

Disclaimer:This is not my actual investment income. To get this figure I first add up my retirement accounts, emergency fund, and any other money I consider permanent savings. What the total of my savings would earn at 6% interest for a month is my monthly investment income.
