I’ve had insomnia most of this week which has kept me from being motivated to do much. I’ve slept good the last couple nights though so hopefully it has passed. Here are my favorite posts from the Frugal Blog Network and beyond this week.
Almost Frugal has a post on Setting Goals in the Face of Uncertainty. I can relate to this because I finish law school I can’t be sure of my future plans but I can’t just put my life on hold until then either.
Frugal Babe hosted the Festival of Frugality this week. As always there were plenty of good posts in the Festival.
Frugal Zeitgeist tells us Small is Beautiful. I’ve usually lived in small living spaces and I actually prefer them to larger spaces. If I ever move into a van then I’ll be living in a really small space.
Not Made of Money shares some ideas for Inexpensive Food for Tailgate Parties. Football is the only sport I actively follow and food is an important part of it.
The Carnival of Personal Finance was hosted by BankerGirl this week and included my post “How Much Should You Save for Retirement?”
Some of my favorites from beyond FBN include:
“Converting my car to a water-powered hybrid” from Christian PF. I’m very curious to see if this actually works.
Free Money Finance asks “Do We All Really Spend More with Credit Cards?“ I think the key word in the question is “all“. Most probably do spend more when they use credit cards. I used to spend more when using credit but I’m confident that I now have a tight enough control on my spending that it doesn’t make a difference whether I use credit or cash.
Generation X Finance tells us “Why Everyone Should Keep at Least $30 Cash on Them.” There are several reasons to keep some cash on you besides avoiding being stabbed.
