Hi, I've been using a relatively new search engine called www.mysearchbonus.com You get 50 points for signing up, then 1 point for each search you do, after 1000 points you can earn $10.00 gift cards to amazon.com, or to gas stations, etc. I earned my first amazon GC in about 6 weeks of normal searching, but then found out that it will take them 8 or so weeks to process the e gift card that I wanted. That was a bit disappointing, but it's still something for actions I would be taking anyway. They're not quite google but are getting better, & they have a responsive customer service for occasional problems. Also you can refer people & earn credit for that. So if you like amazon or other online shopping sites, it's worth checking out.

I know this is a bit off-topic but I recall reading about a Frenchman who lived in Edinburgh and had all the best of gear despite never actually paying full price for anything. You see, every time he returned home from purchasing items at the shops he would immediately write a complaint letter to the shop owner for some negative aspect of the sale, for example the cashier whas chewing gum, or the premises were dirty, or the item he had went in for was out of stock.

Hardcore cashback!

Scott- That is good to hear.

Online Dividends- I didn't think of those scenarios that is something else to consider. Not sure who would let me make purchases for them though.

Actually if you manage to make purchases for others ( people in a retirement community for example ) or you make purchases that you are later on reimbursed then this could be a valid income stream.

I would agree that BC has been a good passive or alternative income source. I've made almost $200 with it. Discover is great as well as Amex for my costco gas purchases.
